Yeah it's very weird when people claim atheism is a religion. I knew a woman once (very religious, preacher's wife) who went on and on about how I was being "indoctrinated" into atheism and have been my whole life. She pretty much painted it like a giant religion trying to convert me.

I know a number of atheists, and the ones I don't know generally aren't that into "converting" they just generally don't care, about religion anyway. They aren't into "getting rid" of religion. If you ask they'll talk about their beliefs, but int terms of converting, they just don't care.
