Why do so many cis people assume that being a tomboy or a girly gay guy is the same as being trans? Or that tomboys or girly men are being pressured to transition?
I read an article on medium, forgot by whom exactly, but trans man who talked all about how he was quite femme pre-transition and how he always has loved flowery dresses and skirts.
My own girlfriend (trans) is a little butch herself. I mean she is a lesbian after all! She does have long hair and sometimes makeup, but she mostly wears flannel, jeans, leather, and combat boots and has hobbies often associated with masculine interests.
Being a Tom boy is different from being trans.
