Truly a great read!
What you are describing, jealousy over a fictional character, I too have felt when reading shallow 2D female characters.
I could never compete with them, yet this was written as what men should expect.
The flawless beautiful woman who was gorgeous but not intimidating. She looks perfect all the time, but never needs to take the time to look after her appearance. She wears clothing perfectly suits her body, but never shops and thinks it's stupid to care about clothing. Her face is perfect with flawless makeup, but of course she doesn't wear make up.
Her biggest problem is dealing and accepting her feelings for the main character which she struggles to accept. And she may be some powerful, amazing person, but that's her side gig. Her real purpose, her fulfillment, is loving the main character.
I'm glad to hear this trope of the dreamy rennesance man. He writes poetry, is such a talented, tourtered artist, and is deep, elegant, and it's so hard to truly know him and his tortured self. He will take you on beautiful, dangerous adventures to his magical world, and you will fall deeply in love with him. Only you, the reader, can make him happy, which makes you feel special.
