True, it is a mean comment, but I think warranted in the situation.
I think the implication was that the man was insecure about his masculinity, hence the need to attack other people’s gender. Really why does someone feel the need to urge another to suicide unless it somehow makes them feel about themself? Why would someone’s self esteem be so low that feel the need to convince another to kill the self?
True, it was a leap, and it was mean. But the guy was urging them to suicide, if can’t take it, he shouldn’t dish it out.
