This is an example of how medical staff can be sexist against women, and don’t listen to them. This is especially true with pain. I’ve heard so many stories of women being in intense pain and doctors arguing with them.
I’m glad your wife was able to get into the hospital despite people not listening to her.

I’ve had doctors (including women doctors) ignore me when I’m sick and say I’m fine when later it was found, there were serious issues and needed treatment.
