Thanks for the congratulations! I can see the concern over suicide being used as a manipulation tactic. However, of all the trans people I know, none of them used it as such. I know trans people who actually committed suicide to escape dysphoria. I also know a few trans people who were hospitalized (pre transition) from suicide attempts, and it stopped once they transitioned-transition saved their lives.
I’ve met manipulative people who have used suicide to manipulate people, but personally never seen it a trans person around their dysphoria. Most of the ones I know are more private about their struggles there, but I’m sure somewhere there is an exception, there always are.

Phoebe I can tell you are a good person, and I enjoy your articles.
I sincerely hope neither you nor anyone you love have to deal with gender dysphoria, it is quite painful I am told.
I just want to also humbly say one thing. Trans women are not here to invade women only spaces, they’re not here to take away from cis women or use their male privilege to assault/invade women or take away from them. They are just trying to survive. I saw this a feminist and as a survivor of sexual assault that happened in a public place. Let it also be known I don’t trust men or want them in women only spaces. Trans women aren’t here to hurt or harm anyone, they are just trying to survive like anyone else. They are more likely to be murdered, they are more likely to die from suicide, they are just trying to live, not harm anyone or in anyway take away from women.
