So first of all, I am not trans. I’m not sure why that assumption was made about me.
Many people find the Harry Potter books inspiring, and people draw comparisons to their life. But at no point did I see any clear evidence they supported lbgtq rights. True, there was a lot of drama with the discrimination against muggle born wizards vs non muggle born wizards, and a person can interpret that as they will, and as applies to their own life. But never is that stated as an allegory for the lbgtq community. Nor is any support towards specifically the lbgtq community expressed to my memory. Please site where the Harry Potter books specifically show supppet towards the lbgtq community. Like clearly the lbgtq community.
Now I’m sure there readers who are members of the lbgtq community who found inspiration toward form the books, and projected their own struggles as a queer people into the story, as people do with art, but that doesn’t mean that the books are meant to be supportive of the lbgtq community. JKR has very much made it clear her books are not made to support trans people.
Here’s a useful comparison, when the song “puff the magic dragon” sung by Peter, Paul and Mary, many assumed it was a song about taking drugs. The artists came out and declared no, it wasn’t it was a fantasy children’s song. That’s how they wrote it and they are the artists. But, I’m sure many a stoner lit up to the song and felt the song represented them. They placed themselves in the subjective lyrics, and read into a specific context from a story that could be seen as a vague metaphor.
Maybe that’s what the song was about to them, but that doesn’t mean that’s what the song was about.
Also, let us have a discussion about these topics using evidence, instead of just name calling, and yes, narrow minded and ignorant is name calling. Again it doesn’t add to your argument, it’s simply name calling.
