Selena thank you for your beautiful, honest response. I’m so sorry for all you went through regarding this issue. It sounds like you are also a victim of male abuse and trauma.
Public changing rooms and such would be better if we had more spaces for people who don’t fall into the gender binary, Intersex, non-binary and others deserve safe spaces as privacy as well. Adding more privacy cubicles would help.
I’m so glad to hear your insights, and your perspective as an intersex trans person. Often when discussing intersex people, their numbers are diminished or ignored, like we can pretend they don’t really exist. But they do, and they deserve to be heard, respected, and are entitled to safety as well. Thank you so much for speaking your voice and contributing your feelings and experiences.
