Omg right? My daughter has monolids, and when I looked them up to know more, I was quite shocked the language used to describe them. Maybe I’m different, but I have always thought monolids to be beautiful. They are smooth; have less wrinkles, and are more even toned than European eyes. As a European American, I honestly feel my eyes look hollow, wrinkly, and dark. We’re like the guy from phantom of the opera with our hallowed out eyes. There’s tons of eye tutorials on how to cover the shadows and dark spots caused by our sunken eyes. Monolids however are smooth, elegant and even toned. My own eyes look old with all the shadows and wrinkles.
I mean all eyes can be appreciated, but I have always found monolids to be very attractive and I’m glad my baby girls has some. Her eyes are so lovely.
