I’ve really enjoyed your perspective here Dan, thanks for writing about this. Your perspective is helpful in making sense of these things. I think this guy found that Christianity helped him with his pornography addiction, which is good for him. However he doesn’t seem to understand his issues with porn are his responsibility and he just sort of assumes Christianity is the savior without him really delving to deep into his own behavior and ownership of his thoughts. Those girls are not porn, but he sexualized their bodies and made them into porn in his mind. Then he wanted to protect his young sons and the world from them, and figured he’d try to save them from the pornographic construct he had of them in his mind. Sadly he couldn’t recognize he was the one making them into porn, not them, and was therefore expecting them to take responsible for his own thoughts by dressing differently.
Somehow he still doesn’t understand this, and is on his crusade to save everyone from porn. I have no doubt he still thinks what he is doing is right and will keep trying to save the world and convince us all to see his point of view.
