In the books, I don't recall anyone's skin colored being described. They could have made a Dune with Paul being black, and frankly I think it would have been better.

Frankly, I am freaking tired of the damn messiah narrative. Or if we must have a Messiah, please let's have a more interesting one! Let's have a messiah who paid his dues and has wisdom from his own struggles. Instead we have a pampored, rich, tennage prince who was educated well, but has no real-world knowledge. He's just entitled and privledged and has never had the life of a freman. Clearly, this is the birth-right of a white man. In neither the books nor the movies, did I find anything likeable or interesting about Paul. He's rich, he's sheltered, why the hell is he the cool one? The whole thing felt wrong. UGH.
