In regards to the concern over trans women using female restrooms, I just want to add that as a female I regularly share public bathrooms and a locker room with trans women and I personally have never experienced any behavior from a trans woman that I would expect from a man. Let me be clear, I do not want men in my female only spaces. However, I’ve never had a problem with the many trans women I do encounter in these places-they don’t behave like men.

I know it can feel scary the idea of sharing a private space with a person raised as a man, but in the practice I found it to be fine. Also, trans women have been using the women’s restroom for decades, they always did, the concern over it is new and frankly a panic instilled in us by politicians.
