I’m glad you brought this up. I’ve seen situations where there was clearly abuse in lesbian relationships, even battery and assault and domestic violence, and it was all ignored or written of as “cat fights” or just girls have mean girl issues. Like it was normal or expected. People tend to ignore abuse and violence when the abuser is a woman. They also tend to ignore violence when the victim is a man. In hetero relationships, it’s easy and it’s become first nature to see men as the abusers and women as victims. But anyone can be an abuser, and we tend to turn a blind eye towards women as abusers and men as potential victims. True, in hetero relationships there are more cases of men abusing women, but I do think women as abusers goes under reported for a variety or reasons.
Women are for sure capable of abuse. But we don’t always see them as thus.
