Idk, I’m a pretty big feminist and I have never had any trouble with dating. Most of my friends are also feminists, and have had pretty successful dating experiences. I know it’s anecdotal, but it’s just my experience talking.
Feminists don’t actually hate men. We just want equal rights as men. We believe in gender equality, not supremacy.
I hear this false narrative that feminists hate men so much, I asked my therapist about it. Mainly I asked him if I hate men, I’ve been seeing him for over a decade so he knows me well. He also has a lot of experience running therapy groups for men and similar groups focused on men’s issues. He told me I don’t hate men, but I do hate misogyny. He told me he also hates misogyny and it’s okay. Hating misogyny is not the same as hating men. And if a man assumes hating misogyny is the same as hating him, then that man is essentially claiming all men are misogynist, which is not the case. I don’t hate men, not even misogynistic men (mostly I find them ignorant, hurt, and frustrated).
But I do hate the idea that women are less than men and being limited because of the way people think and limit women.
