I’d like to add it’s never a persons fault for being abused because they picked that person. Many people don’t start out as abusers.
My own husband didn’t start abusing until 18 years into our relationship. He slowly changed over time, and after 18 years he was radically different person then the man I picked.
I’m so tired of hearing how women picked their abusers.
No one dates a person with the thought “gee, this man is an abuser! Let’s go “

I knew one woman who was with her husband for 10 years. At the tender age of year mark he got a terminal cancer diagnosis and had an emotional break down. During this he started beating her. He never had before.

“Women chose this guy! She chose to be with him” is such an annoying battle cry. No one chooses to date an abuser.
