I too have lipedema. I’m between stage 2 and 3. I’m very concerned because I am working towards my lifelong dream of becoming a mother. However, I’m sure this will reel havoc on my lipedema. If nothing else, going off of my long time keto diet is sure to make me gain a lot, and it never all comes off. Keto is toxic for babies, so I can’t do it. But also the pregnancy is said to trigger the disease pretty bad. I will probably lose my mobility. I got officially diagnosed, and am documenting all I doing to manage it. Post pregnancy I will attempt to get my insurance to pay for surgery if I lose my mobility. I love walking, but my legs already affect my movement. I don’t think wanting to to be able to walk should be considered “cosmetic surgery” by insurance companies.
