I think this is why there's that statistic that women apply for jobs when they can prove they meet all the qualifications, while men apply for jobs when they think they can one day meet all the qualifications, ie "grow into the job."
I've been to so many jobs interviews where the person interviewing me would say
"I just don't think you understand how hard this job and I don't know if you can handle it"
Me: Here on resume is a time where I dealt with a more difficult problem and I handled it well.
Them: "Yeah I still don't think you can handle this job. It's hard. We have this problem sometimes"
Me: Here's a time where I dealt with the same problem in a larger more intense scale, and here's how I solved it.
Them: "Yeah I still just don't think you can do this job"
And so on. I think it goes back to women just can't be believed or trusted.
