I saw the the same article, or one very similar, and found it really upsetting. I’m glad you are saying something. I agree with you, there’s no loss in telling me someone my pronouns. It has literally never inconvenienced me, ever. The article felt more like she wasn’t going to buy into that some people are trans. It felt more like “I shouldn’t have to use the correct pronouns with you, because I don’t believe those are your pronouns.” I give my pronouns all the time, it never has bothered me. Also, people being masculine or feminine is not the same as being a woman or a man. A trans woman is not a man who is feminine. A trans woman is a woman who was assigned male at birth. There are plenty of trans women who are butch, or just masculine. A friend of mine looks like a man, but is a cis woman, that doesn’t make her trans. She can express her gender however she wants.
