I really enjoyed this piece!

Growing up I was quite religious and read the Bible a lot. I remember these passages you mentioned, especially about woman supposedly committing adultery. My bible listed it as "her womb will drop" and I wondered at age 11 WTF that was. When I got older I realized it was a miscarriage. It makes sense since a lot of patrichial culture was developed around making sure your biological offspring inherited your land, that's when having a woman be monogamous became such a big deal. This passage demonstrates that relationship to misogyny to offspring. That the ultimate few is that a man will support a wife who has someone else's child, hence the need to control who the wife sleeps with.

I also enjoyed the other verses and analsys. Really a great study!
