I have been hosting thanksgiving for over 20 years and I agree with your comment here. If this guy was so unhappy with thanksgiving, he could have offered to help! Thanksgiving is about people coming to gather and helping each other, as well as gratitude for each other and all. When he saw her husband peeling g potatoes, he could have offered to help peel some too, or help out in the kitchen! That way he could probably get a scrap of food in which he clearly wanted. His story reads more like a negative yelp review than discussing a holiday party. It was also this woman’s first time hosting, she made mistakes. I guess he just misses his mother in laws parties, but he sounds very entitled, like this free family meal I attended was not up to my standards, do better! I doubt he could have done much better himself.
