I agree on the BS of "evolutionary psychology." argument. I personally dated and even married a man shorter than myself (he was 5 foot 3) and found it a wonderful experience.
Women, we are told that small is beautiful and big is manly. To be the perfect woman we can become so small, and so weak, that we can disappear and not be a problem to anyone.
I think it's fine that people have preferences, but what people don't realize is many of these preferences aren't "biological" but instead are conditioned into use by society. Therefore, I beleive by us opening ourselves up we are actually radically rejecting society telling us what our preferences are rather than falling back onto the norm that our preferences happen to be what society tells us they are. I fell like in your comment here you have captured this.
