Hi Trevor, in the examples I listed in my previous comment, I listed by each what changes could have been made to have prevented the respected abortions. All of those women would have lost their livelihoods, independence and opportunities to have their own lives if they had carried the babies to term. Thats what needs to change to avoid abortions. Having to chose to have your own life and carrying a baby and giving birth. Meanwhile all the men involved (except my friend with the mental illness) suffered no consequences. It’s very easy to volunteer another person destroy their life and potential health for your ideal. These women I mentioned above were in position where if the carried the baby, they would not have been able to continue with their lives and may never recover from it. I think our society needs systems where this doesn’t happen. For example, my friend with the mental illness, if more medications were available to her during pregnancy, she would have been able to safely carry the baby. My friend who wasn’t insured, she would have had a large debt she couldn’t afford. Perhaps there needs to be free healthcare for pregnant women and for birth. I had great insurance with my childs birth, however I still ended up with a bill of several thousand dollars I’m still paying off a year later; and likely will for quite a while. If you read my comment you will see more.
