Hello Ann!
How lovely that we have some things in common.
I am fat due to a disease I have called lipedema (xhttps://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lipedema). I inherited the disease from my Grandmother, and was officially diagnosed a few years ago. I learned about lipedema actually from here on medium, from Shannon Ashley, who writes a lot about her experience with the disease.
Sadly, due to my lipedema, I am forced to live a very restrictive lifestyle, on a keto diet and I exercise extensively, but am still quite fat. My diet and exercise will never be reflected on my body, and the hard work I do is merely to slow the progression of the disease. I very much want to keep my mobility which the lipedema threatens, so I live a strict lifestyle of diet and exercise and will probably never be less than my current 225 lbs. I feel very sad about it.
However, cheese is permitted just fine in my diet, so I do indulge in cheese. I cant eat sugar, most fruits, even apples. but I can eat cheese and I definitely do. I love cheese, always has. A friend of mine told me once that cheese contains enzymes that have a drug like affect on the brain. When she told me this, she acted like I should be concerned or something I was like "so what? I don't have many drugs in life, I don't drink, or smoke, I'd rather EAT CHEESE."
I know we may differ politically, but it's always nice to meet someone.
Cheers!
