Great piece Devin! So interesting! This guy sounds like quite a manipulator. But also, he sounds gay, seeing how he clearly did like men, and any of his “girlfriends” turned out to be men.

I myself thought I was straight for a long time. Looking back most of the “men” I crushed on in high school turned out to be trans women who transitioned later after graduation. I also crushed on gay men, who safely were never available for me to actually date and experience heterosexuality. I now understand a lot of my behavior in attraction to men came from compulsorily heterosexuality, and I’m actually more into women.
Perhaps you and Shelly and everyone else were on some level his way of being gay but pretending he was straight. It sounds like he was attracted to men, but found some who society labeled as women and could be with men while carrying a straight appearance. Sounds like this guy is gay and was resentful of his gay lovers, deeply misogynistic in bio females, and ultimately took this confusion and resentment out on you, Shelly, and everyone else. Dude what a jerk. He preyed on trans men to control them as gender oppressed and to live his gay life, and he knew how to use their dysphoria against them to abuse them. Ugh.
