Excellent article. I would also add that for the most part, men don't have to live with lipedema, a fat disorder. As a woman with lipedema, it is essentially impossible for me to lose a certain amount of weight. While I can lose weight in the upper half of my body, the lower half will remain very large. Lipedema fat won't go away with diet and exercise. 11% of females have lipedema. Almost no males have lipedema. Casses of male lipedema are rare. It's thought that lipdema is related to estrogen hormones. So yeah, most men don't live with lipedema, so they don't know what' going on here with my body.
