Bit agest don't you think?

Ever consider people having weddings aren't doing it for a gift grab, but rather to celebrate their union? I'm probably going to be having a wedding in my 40's, because both of our families don't leave near us, it will be the only opportunity for them to meet each other. Seeing an invite to a wedding from an older couple as an obligation to give a gift is quite shallow. People are getting married at older ages, people are living longer, people are getting divorced and remarried. Older couples marriages are no less valid and deserved to be celebrated with their families just as much as younger ones. It's an opportunity to celebrate union and for the families to come together, not a gift grab.
