As a woman with lipedema, I have been on a keto diet with whole unprocessed foods for 4 years now with an aggressive exercise program (8 hours a week). Yes, I have lost weight, 20 lbs, But I’m still undeniably fat, to the point where I may be come so big I can’t walk. This disease is very common, 11% of women have this disease. Yes I diet and exercise aggressively to maintain my weight, but the disease with time will slowly progress, and there’s not much I can do about it. Yet society blames women like me for a disease I can’t help. I don’t eat processed foods, but I’m still fat, the lipedema is resistant to diet and exercise and won’t come off.
