As a woman who has lipedema, I can’t even tell you how good it felt to read this article and see artwork where a body like mine is celebrated instead of shamed. Ironically, this biological condition that makes me fat, came from my Grandma who was raised is a very wealthy affluent family. Women in her family have been looking like this for years, and a few hundred years ago having a large body like mine was considered healthy and beautiful, and I’m sure my previous great great whatever Grandmas were picked out for their exceptionally large beautiful bodies. But now days it’s considered ugly. This is the way my body is, and I felt a little more beautiful today. Thanks.
