As a white woman, with strawberry blonde hair, this article caught my attention. I have in the past stumbled into this myself. Mostly I was making small talk when a man asked me where I was from, after explaining I innocently asked him where he was from back, and then offended him not realizing the trauma many people have around this question. I wrote my own article on this problem with suggestions on how white people such as myself can stop this racist behavior. I'd love to hear your thoughts on it, if you feel up for reading it.
