As a queer woman I really appreciate this analysis of islam and LBGTQ issues.

I am so torn about the war in the Middle East, there's nothing I can do about it. I want them to stop killing each other. I feel terrible for the Palestinians and know what's happening is brutal. I fully respect Islam, it's a major world religion. But as queer woman, currently in a very happy lesbian relationship, I don't really want Islam to take over the world and outlaw people like me. I feel like I can respect their beliefs, but I sure as F don't want to live by their beliefs. I fully support freedom of religion. I have had many Muslim friends over the years, and I also have lots of Jewish friends. I hate this damn war. Why does picking a side automatically make someone either antisemitic, or antiIslam? I feel so at conflict and I hate it, especially as a queer person. I'm glad youre writing about it.
