As a math teacher, I enjoyed this. We have a culture of insulting people when they get a math problem, it’s toxic to Meath education. It’s normal when learning any subject to make mistakes, yet culturally math mistakes are taken as personal judgements of one’s intelligence, which is bs. In general, we need to chill out about math.


Once a year ago, my mom posted one of those math problems on fb, like a simple order of operations problems. She did it wrong. I posted the correct answer. She then felt the need to question my mathematical ability, which is funny because I have a university degree in the subject. She kept telling me I needed to learn math better. Oh mom, lol. She’s always right.
