As a feminist, I agree. Objectifying anyone is not cool. This is an example of how patriarchy is bad for me. Yes, it puts men at the top, this is true. But it also narrows their emotions, it only accepts men being horny, angry, or athletic. There is a lack of concern over objectifying men because in patriarchy men are expected to just be horny dogs who don’t mind being objectified. This is not true. As different as men and women are, men are humans with emotions and thoughts and ideas. I’m glad we are starting to treat women better, however true feminism benefits all genders, including men, by seeing them as human beings not the narrow restrictive objects patriarchy places upon them.
